Demonstrators at a “Quds Day” protest in Toronto, Canada, on Saturday chanted genocidal antisemitic slogans — including “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” — and held up signs promoting terrorism and equating Zionism with Nazism, in a disturbing display of vitriolic hatred.
The rally — held across the street from the U.S. Consulate General in downtown Toronto — was endorsed by Greater Toronto for BDS, Neturei Karta International, Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, Oakville Palestinian Rights Association, Socialist Action, and Just Peace Advocates/Mouvement Pour Une Paix Juste.
Speakers included Charlotte Kates of Samidoun and Khaled Barakat of Masar Badil.
“Quds Day” is an annual event — falling on the last Friday of Ramadan — that was originally launched by the Tehran regime in 1979 following the Islamic Revolution in Iran. “Quds Day” demonstrations around the world have often featured expressions of blatant antisemitism, as well as violent incitement against Jews and calls for the elimination of the State of Israel.

One sign seen at this year’s Toronto gathering said, “When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty,” with an image below equating the Star of David with the Nazi swastika.
This woman, at the Al Quds day march in Toronto, holds a sign saying Jews are Nazis.
She didn’t draw an Israeli flag. She chose a Magen David, the symbol of Judaism.

“Resistance” is a common euphemism for Palestinian terrorism against Israeli targets, including civilians.
